This country never ceases to amaze me. Smokestacks are the equivalent of roadside billboards, I guess. Still n' all: is the Hat Museum Stratford's only claim to fame? What kind of tourism does that invite?

What I like most about this plaque is the closing phrase:

"...tale is probably... Fact as rumours... Persist to this day"

Basically, in England, if you keep saying the same thing for long enough it'll eventually be accepted as fact.
